What we collect
Gold Bullion Price Chart does not require an account, and you never need to register to use any page or tool. We collect only what is described below, and we do not sell personal information.
Calculator inputs stay in your browser
Weights, karats and coin quantities you enter into our calculators are processed entirely in your own browser. They are not transmitted to us, not stored on our servers, and not logged. We never see what you own.
The contact form
If you send us a message, we receive your name, email address, chosen subject and message. They are processed by our form provider (Web3Forms) and delivered to us by email. We use them only to reply and to correct errors you report. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle them, and we do not add you to any mailing list. Please do not send identification documents, account numbers or other sensitive information through the form.
Affiliate links (Augusta Precious Metals)
Some links on this site go to Augusta Precious Metals and carry a tracking parameter
(sub_id=goldbullionpricechart) identifying this site as the referrer, so that we can be credited if
you open an account. This costs you nothing. Once you reach Augusta's website, its own privacy
policy applies, including any cookies it sets. See our full disclosure.
Fonts
Pages load the Playfair Display and Inter typefaces from Google Fonts. When they load, your browser sends Google a request that includes your IP address, handled under Google's privacy policy. The site works without them; your browser falls back to system fonts.
Hosting and logs
The site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, pages requested and browser type) for security and operations, under Vercel's privacy policy.
Price data requests
Our gold and silver prices are fetched by our build process from the sources named on our about page, not by your browser. The one exception is an optional refresh of the headline price on the homepage, which your browser may request directly from gold-api.com; it sends no personal data beyond what any web request carries.
Analytics and cookies
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read. Where the law requires consent for cookies, we will ask for it first.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK (GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. Since we hold almost none, essentially only messages you send us, a request is usually met by deleting your message. Contact us and we will act promptly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
